-At 8.30 pm:  Dance and Choreography “Deliruim” by Estefano Gil.  (Music: “Train II”, by Armand Amar).

 -At 8.35 pm: Sonata no.3 for Solo Violin (“Ballade”) by Eugene Ysaye. Njioma Grevious,violin.

-At 8.40 pm: Spanish Dance No5: Playera by Pablo Sarasate.

Estefano Gil’s biography:

Estefano Gil was Born in Caracas, Venezuela. 

In 1999, he began his training ballet at Ballet-Arte School Gustavo Franklin Foundation under the Direction of Lidija and Isabel Franklin and taking ballet classes at Nina Novak Ballet Academy. 

In 2005, he joined Ballet Teresa Carreño performing Demi-Soloist and Soloist Roles and participated in the III International Dance Gala in Montevideo (Uruguay). 

In 2007,he joined Caracas Contemporary Ballet under Artistic Direction of María Eugenia Barrios, performing as a Soloist,he  participated in National Tours with the Company. 

In 2008, Gil travels to Colombia where becomes a member in Colombian Ballet Company- INCOLBALLET Directed by Gloria Castro performing as a soloist. 

He participated in four (4) International Ballet Festivals, from 2nd Edition in 2008 to 5th Edition in 2011. As a Dancer in Colombian Ballet Company-INCOLBALLET dance in Europe, Central and South America representing Colombia in The Colombia Bicentennial World Celebration in Belgium, Holland, Russia, Guatemala, Dominican Republic among others. 

Since 2012,he has participated as a Guest Artist in Staten Island Ballet, New England Ballet. His Repertoire includes : Midsummer Night’s Dream,The Nutcracker,Swan Lake, Our Waltzes, among others. 

In 2016,  he danced this Spring with Staten Island Ballet, and Teaching in several places all over NYC and NJ

Njeri’s Biography:

 Njeri is a rising senior at Yale studying applied mathematics. From ages to 7 to 17, she studied violin through a string training program for students of color in Boston called Project STEP. At age 10, she was invited to perform with Yo Yo Ma at the inauguration celebration for Deval Patrick.

She has participated in several music festivals including Summertrios, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and the Sphinx Performance Academy. 

She most recently returned from the Vianden International Music festival in Luxembourg. She performs with the Mahewa Trio, her family string ensemble, as well as the Yale Collegium Musicum. 

Her passion for the works of Russian composer Dimitri Shostakovich inspired her to join the Yale Russian Chorus as an alto. 

Njeri has enjoyed teaching elementary piano and music theory to students in Boston and New Haven.

Njeri is also a board member of Boston’s Winsor Music, and for the past two summers she has interned in risk management at Goldman Sachs and looks forward to a career in finance.

 

Njioma's Biography:

 Njioma Grevious, of Newton, Massachusetts, is a 17-year-0ld violinist and violist who has been a scholarship recipient of Project STEP’s string training program since she was 6 years old.  

A student of James Buswell, Njioma most recently performed as a guest artist at the White House with the President's Own Marine Chamber Orchestra during a State Dinner hosted by President and Mrs. Obama. 

As a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Njioma has travelled to several European countries, performing at the Concertgabouw in Amsterdam, the Berlin Philharmonie and at Carnegie Hall and Boston Symphony Hall as well.  

Njioma is an avid chamber musician, performing in various ensembles including the Violobos quartet and the Mahewa Trio, along with her sister and brother.  

She has participated in the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and the Vianden International Music Festival.  

Njioma loves promoting classical music to diverse audiences, and hopes herself one day to be an agent of change in the movement to help bring more diversity to top professional orchestras.  

She dreams of attending music conservatory and of a career as a professional musician. 

 

 Lily Friedman’s biography: 

 Summertrios Music Director Emerita,

was a founding member of The New York Piano Trio, winner of the Artists

International Competition, and awarded a debut performance at 

Carnegie’s Weill Hall. 

She has been a participant in the Marlboro Festival, 

the Orono, Maine Festival, and has performed in a large variety of 

chamber ensembles throughout the New York metropolitan area and 

New England as well as in France and the former Soviet Union. Among her more notable performances are the entire Beethoven Sonatas for Piano and Violin with New York Philharmonic violinist Anna Rabinova as well as the entire Beethoven oeuvre for piano and cello with Juilliard professor Andre Emelianoff.

She is co-founder and Music Director of Summertrios, a chamber music organization which offers four one-week residential programs to adult amateur musicians. It has served thousands of amateur musicians and provided intensive training in chamber music for dozens of young professionals. 

Friedman holds a Masters Degree from The Juilliard School where she was a student of Beveridge Webster and an ABD in the Doctoral Program at Teachers College of Columbia University. 

Independently, she studied piano with Irma Wolpe, and chamber music with Menahem Pressler, Arthur Balsam, Isidore Cohen, Rudolf Serkin, and Joseph Fuchs. 

She has been a performing participant in the Menahem Pressler Master Classes for the past 40 years.
